This page contains some HOW-TO and FAQ that should be able to solve most of your questions about tools that we provided in this web site. Please send us an email if you still can not find your answer.

FAQ

• Will eatools provide service for Yahoo or Amazon auctions ?

No. We currently do not have plan about these two web sites, but they will be in our mind after we really have nothing to improve on tools for eBay auctions. Because there are many auction management site out there and  do provide nice features about these 2 sites, and also because that both two sites do not charge sellers a lot of money for selling products, we think working on tools for eBay auction is more important.
 
• Is there any limit for my database to grow ?

Basically, there is no limit, but we will remove your auction data that is more 1 year old, unless you are a premium member.
 
• Will eatools provide some kind inventory system in the future ?

Not yet. This project could be the last one we want to do for eBay auctions, because this project will complicated the whole system a lot and we do not think it is extremely important for most of auction sellers.
 
• If I decide to take a vacation, can I stop my membership ? Is there any fee to re-activate my account ?

Yes, you can. No activation fee or whatsoever.
 
• Why eatools is not free like other auction management site ?

Because we do provide some features that none of any other auction site does, like reserved winners, ebay alert, final fee request, and auction re-lister....etc. We believe these 3 features will save you a lot more than your membership fee. Besides, our flat rate charge is still much cheaper than Andale and AuctionWorks.

HOW-TO

• How do I change my eBay ID, Password or email address in EATOOLS ?

Please click on "My Profile" link on the top (or bottom) of this page.
 
• How do I add my own payment method ?
1. Please click on here to add a new payment option
2. Don't forget to re-configure your winner notification email to refect the new added payment method.
3. Set up your status email. After you add the new payment option, there will be a new configuration box shows up, so don't forget to change it.

 
• How can I resent a notify mail to customers who told me that he/she lost the notification ?

After you find the auction record, on the button of  table, you will see a Re-Notify button, just click that button, your customer will receive another notification email. If the customer ask you to send it to another email address, just change the email address in the box that next to the Re-Notify button.
 
• How do I return or refund the item to customer ?

At this time, please do this:
1. Perform a database search to find the record.
2. Set auction status to "Memo" and put your note about this situation in the Check/Memo text box
3. Check the "Update Status only"
4. Click "Send mail" button (System will record the memo but will not send the memo to the customer, but to you)
5. Click "Back" on your browser to go back to the result of previous database search.
6. Keep the "Update Status only" checked.
7. Change the status to "Winner"
8. Click "Send mail" button
By doing all of above, the record status will go back to "winner", so you can perform an eBay alert or request the final fee later.
 
• How do I know about the up-to-date shipping information about the package I shipped ?

This feature is one of our signature features. Just click on the tracking number on the auction record.
 
• How do I update the database if the customer pays me ebay commission fee and ask me not to issue Non-Payment Bidder alert ?
1. Add a special payment option in eatools for this situation.
2. Perform a database search to find the record.
3. Set auction status to the special payment option
4. Check the "Update Status only"
5. Click "Send mail" button (System will not send the new status update to the customer)

 
• How do I change bidder's email address ?

No, you can not, but you should send the winner notification email again (using ReNotify function), and the system will automatically remember the new email address. The new email address will be searchable in your next search.
